Why steel fails where septic tanks live

What Is GFRP Rebar?
GFRP (Glass Fiber Reinforced Polymer) rebar is made from high-strength glass fibers set in a polymer resin matrix. GFRP bars come in standard deformed profiles and multiple diameters — installed on-site the same way as steel.

Residential septic tanks
Most home septic tanks are buried in soil with variable moisture levels. GFRP bars eliminate the corrosion risk that shortens the life of steel-reinforced tanks.

Larger tanks serving hotels, schools, or office buildings face higher wastewater volumes and more aggressive chemical exposure. GFRP handles both without degradation
Multi-chamber septic systems
Used where treatment happens across compartments. GFRP's chemical resistance makes it reliable across every chamber — including the most active zones.
Pre-cast septic tanks
GFRP bars are well-suited to pre-cast concrete production. Lighter weight simplifies mould handling and reduces casting complexity.
